Credit Bureau Contact Information Three major credit bureaus provide credit history and information about consumers to potential creditors. If you become a victim of identity theft, you can contact one agency, and it will automatically place a fraud alert with the others. Many people have peace of mind however, by contacting all three to ensure a fraud alert is filed correctly.

The easiest way to get in touch with Equifax to file a fraud alert is by calling 1-800-525-6285. You can also learn how to order a report of your credit report when calling.
